Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849) was an American writer known for his dark and mysterious stories and poems. He is famous for creating the detective story and writing creepy tales like “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Raven.” Poe’s work often explores themes of death, fear, and the strange corners of the human mind. Even though he had a tough life, his writing has inspired many authors and is still popular today.
